“Activate the Omega 13” #onelinerWednesday

When my boys were younger, we watched a lot of films together. It’s no wonder at least one of them moved into filmmaking as a profession. This was always a favorite. Tim Allen is classic in this role as well as everyone else. It was a perfect mix for #galaxyquest to be successful.

Most intriguing of all was the idea of the mysterious Omega 13 weapon that was the sought after prize by an entire galaxy, one that the actors of the movie’s tv series didn’t even know was real.

Wouldn’t it be grand to have such a device, one that gave you back a mere few seconds so that you could change something-anything- a word or thought, a small deed, look or misstep. But, alas, all we have to go on is experience, foresight and a bit of advice from well meaning folks.

But….Never give up, never surrender!”

This post was part of Linda Hill’s #1linerWeds prompt.

PS I love Guy…

    1. I’m so glad to have inspired yu to watch it Amy. It is very funny and great for taking your mind off of earthbound heartaches. We never missed Home Improvement when the boys were younger and The Sanat Claus is my go to feel good Christmas movie.

  1. Oh, how often I could have used such a device. I guess I should settle for the advice being offered. Especially since, when I ignore that, I’m setting myself up for the “I told you so moment” 🙂

    1. I’d like such a device to also redo something with a bit more finesse, say…like quitting a job or having a snappy comeback when all you could muster was a jaw drop or some stuttering. Lol

      1. Ha! I know what you mean. I normally hate predictive text but the new icon popups are great because ‘fir’ (for) is my most common typo right behind live/love. Now I know I have done it when I see the little evergreen tree pop up. 😂
