There’s a hollow in my heart
that once was you,
it cannot be filled
for nothing will do.
The glint in your eyes,
the lines of your face,
the smile on your lips
now but empty space.
and
with every tomorrow
the questions remain
as the echo of sorrow
in the valley of pain.

Beautiful photo, Cheryl. I love how the poem correlates with the hollow heart in the center of the flower.
