Sometimes accepting one’s own perfection is the hardest thing to do. We think we are being arrogant or prideful. The truth is that when you look at yourself through the eyes of unconditional love, you can begin to see others in the same way. You begin to see the imperfections not as flaws but as the lovely patina of a life lived fully.
The rain came,
softly at first;
then in wild torrents,
causing the flowers
to shed their skirts
and dance naked
as the skies thundered
with laughter.
