At what cost
do we hide our light?
Fear that paralyzes,
depriving us the prizes
that self expression holds.
When darkness seeks to
snuff the heart of love
it feigns a friendly face
as its icy fingers trace
lines of doubt upon the brow.
You must not ask it in
nor accept its judgment sharp
lest your soul it deftly slice
as defeat it doth entice,
that clever jealous liar.
The looking glass is true,
it knows not of deceit.
Be courageous, look inside
there is no need to hide
the reflection that is you!
Be Brilliant!

Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed your poem and that images that you chose to accompany it. I have just started a poetry blog here on WordPress and today’s poem is about the roles we play in case you have time to have a look? Have a good day, Sam 🙂

Thanks for an uplifting few moments, Cheryl. Maybe that’s just what I need to kick Tuesday into 2nd or 3rd gear. Beautiful photos (I love the B&W version).
