rough and noisy; noisily jolly or rowdy; clamorous; unrestrained:
the sound of boisterous laughter.
(of waves, weather, wind, etc.) rough and stormy.
Obsolete. rough and massive.

I have never been boisterous in my life. Even saying the word feels foreign on my tongue. Have I been ecstatic, happy, thrilled, impatient, giddy even? Of course. But boisterous, to me, implies a level of letting go, of freedom of expression that I never really allow myself. Perhaps because I might feel out of control, and for me that would be most uncomfortable. Please do let me know if you ever catch me being boisterous so I can commit it to memory.

This blog post was in response to Linda Hill’s new prompt series #JusJoJan Check out her page for each day’s prompt. Today’s prompt was the inspiration of fellow blogger DanAntion of No Facilities , who shows off his many creative talents on his own blog.

Now go out and have a boisterous day, if you dare; and don’t let the blustery weather keep you down!

The light keeps trying to break through….

Yep! Giddy as a schoolgirl

Okay, this may have been as close to boisterous as I’ve gotten in years. 👏🏻

  1. Agreed. I don’t get boisterous either. To me it seems too out of control and I never want to be that. Maybe I get a little boisterous at a baseball game when we are scoring runs but it is never for any great length of time. Cute picture 🙂

  2. Happy New Year, Cheryl! Good to see you in 2018.
By the way, Dan informed me that you are going reawaken Domhan. It was a good thing to hear on 1st of the year. I can go back Domhan any time.
