After a couple of weeks without an adventure, I was bound and determined to get out with the camera today and seek that which soothes my soul. It was so hot, humid and sweltering; but I was there and so were they. The performers arrived to play their parts to perfection, to dance their silent ballet, accompanied by the whispering oaks, the birds overhead and the trickle of fountains-Nature’s silent symphony.
The Conductor leads the orchestraThe music tells of a day so hot, the cactus sought refuge in the shade of the old oak treesand the youth cared not the day was hotwhile the elders found repose in cooler spotsNo buzzing from this lovely bee
For merely a Polka-Dot wasp moth is she!Spreading their limbs as the wind danced throughDo you see me? I see you!!Fish one? Fish two? How sweet the sound of silent gatheringThe color, the light my heart surroundingWith flutter and flightto my soul’s delightand each pirouette a most glorious sight! The branches tossed blooms across the dance floorAs the roses sang out“Encore! Encore!”
A lovely happy stroll through your garden with your little beasts and flowers. And you’re the DJ too who is bringing joy and sunshine in my home right now. Thank you!
Well I have heard of other faux wasos but had never heard of nor seeh this one until yesterday. They were so beautiful, moving quietly through the white blooms. My husband spotted them.
Thank you for letting us join you on your quest. Beautiful photos, and a lovely story to help us feel like we’re there. I love the young lizard. He really looks like he doesn’t care.
It was hot and humid here, but all the critters are heading south or packing a stash for winter.
Great shots!
