Saturday Symphony/Photography

After a couple of weeks without an adventure, I was bound and determined to get out with the camera today and seek that which soothes my soul.  It was so hot, humid and sweltering; but I was there and so were they.  The performers arrived to play their parts to perfection, to dance their silent ballet, accompanied by the whispering oaks, the birds overhead and the trickle of fountains-Nature’s silent symphony.

 

The Conductor leads the orchestra

The music tells of a day so hot, the cactus sought refuge in the shade of the old oak trees

and the youth cared not the day was hot

while the elders found repose in cooler spots

No buzzing from this lovely bee

 

For merely a Polka-Dot wasp moth is she!

Spreading their limbs as the wind danced through

Do you see me? I see you!!

Fish one? Fish two? 

How sweet the sound of silent gathering

The color, the light my heart surrounding

With flutter and flight

to my soul’s delight

and each pirouette a most glorious sight!

The branches tossed blooms across the dance floor

As the roses sang out

“Encore! Encore!”
