Oh, it’s so mysterious and pretty! Well done.

Thanks Deborah. Not as brilliant as your moon and star shots but it was mysterious.

I like partial moons, and moons with clouds more than the Full Moon by itself I think…they’re more interesting, moody, and mysterious. Like this one…could be the beginning of oh, so, many stories! 🙂

I agree. I only wish I had another flash so I could better accentuate the mossy oaks framing it. Thanks Deborah.

I agree with Deborah of circadianreflections. In particular, I really like the bluish and golden halo around the full moon as its light illuminated the clouds. Well done, dweezer19!
The moon has indeed inspired a lot of art, poetry and video, even food, as can be seen at https://soundeagle.wordpress.com/2012/10/02/if-my-name-were-moon-tonight/

The moon is the night’s mistress, spinner of magic and watcher of dreams. She is mysterious, constant and yet has many faces…all lovely.

LOVE this picture! It was too cloudy all three nights for me to get a picture of the full moon this month. I made my wish on Monday night anyway.

Beautiful!
I find it very difficult to get wonderful photos of the full moon. This is amazing. I love the night sky.

Thanks Dan. I do too. It is not something I have in spades. I usually take dozens of photos, changing the settings until I get the ISO and aperture combo right. But, in my defense, the settings will change with cloud cover as opposed to full moonlight. This was a lovely moon.

“Settings” Yeah, I can hear Faith sigh, knowing that I’m leaving the camera on some version of ‘Auto’ – (Cheryl walks away, shaking head…)

I never use auto. Sigh….lol. Take a leap! 😉

Concurring with Dan here! Photographing the moon is an art in itself. Thank you, dweezer19 .
For moon lovers and photographers alike, here is my poetic take on the subject of moon at https://soundeagle.wordpress.com/2012/10/02/if-my-name-were-moon-tonight/

Hi Cheryl, have you had a chance to visit the webpage? I shall be very interested to receive your feedback at the comment section there, given that you and I are both lovers of moon.
Happy mid-August to you!
