Clinging, reaching for shards of light,
the kiss of morning dew to brighten her
cheek.
Her innermost self fully revealed,
no longer concealed behind the layers,
white.
Soft, she whispers to the coming night,
“Shall we dance into the Milky way
together?
Sadly she gazes back over her delicate
shoulder with sweet sorrow to leave this life, a
treasure.
The others, still so fresh and new, brilliant
they dance and laugh and revel in the
days.
Upon her cheek a dewy tear glistens
in the glow of sunset’s kind crimson
rays.
Takes her gently by the hand and
bids her follow, follow, and mourn not
death.
Beauty lives forever,
the memory of
Rose’s sweet scent
lingers.

Wow, I was thinking and feeling what you wrote! I could never write it though.
The top image is lovely! I like the peek inside. The other images are beautiful too!

Thanks so much Deborah. It expresses how I feel at times. Exposed-as the ability to mask the real me falls away, things no longer disguised by the veil of youth. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
