Within
Though seeming dull,
envelpoed by life’s
shadow and veil,
the heart grows cold
and weary.
Each beat a trial,
a question to the unknown-
“How long must I go on?”
Deceptive, this despairing cloak,
for hidden deep within
glows the faintest flicker
of hope that
refuses to die,
the very essence of
what defines the soul-
the brilliance of
Eternity!

Great poetry combined with an awesome image. I love the sun shining through the tree.

Sometimes we find ourselves clinging to that tiny ray of brightness. Very well said, Cheryl. Perfect words for this lovely photo.

Hi Dan. I really keep my inner hope focused on this light. It saves me so many times from despair. I have already had my weekend miracle in waking to the sound of the truck clearing the composting piles on our street. My first Christmukka miracle! Hope you have a great weekend.

You caught my mood completely tonight. My last words to M as I was drifting off was “Thankfully I will wake a bit more hopeful.”
