Thresholds
I want to fly Mother,
to feel the light on my face
as I soar across the skies.
“You must step over the threshold,”
whispered the wind.
I want to swim Mother,
to dance upon the white capped
waves beneath the moon.
“You must step over the threshold,”
whispered the ocean.
I want to walk Mother,
to explore the Earth as a being
born within human flesh.
“You must step over the threshold,”
whispered Creation.
Every step was one
of purpose, every breath taken
filled with hope and longing.
So many thresholds to cross over,
So many paths to wander.
One to youth was
filled with bright fireflies, dotting
the dark nights of Springtime
where I played with abandon.
glorious illusion.
I want to love Mother,
to share my world with another
such as I, joined in Spirit and body.
“You must step over the threshold,”
whispered a broken heart.
I want to create Mother,
to share myself with new life,
my offspring reflecting my soul.
“You must step over the threshold,”
whispered Sacrifice.
Moments, days, weeks.
thresholds lined the path.
pain, sorrow, ecstasy,
hope, success, envy and wrath.
weeks into months into years,
the tears!
I want to rest Mother,
to lie in the sweet bosom of
your peace, love and endless comfort.
“You know what you must do, dear one,”
whispered Eternity’s voice,
as I stepped across the threshold.

You were meant to share the thoughts of your heart and soul! God made you for this purpose, He has a purpose for us all…
(Jeremiah 29:11).

Thank you for saying this Spinman. Sometimes I feel as though I am shouting in a whirlwind but still what is laid on my heart must find its way out. If only God hears then it has its purpose as well. To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.

My hope is for people to know we all have times of pain, struggle and growth and that we do not go alone on this journey.

Nope…for the Lord disciplines those whom He loves, my dear. Why? To make us better people toward Him and with all others…

The only path to true emoathy comes from personal experience. That often means a lot of pain. I am grateful for the understanding.

So many thresholds to cross over, spectrum of possibilities, endless possibilities…great, thoughtful work…I love that I feel as if there has been a communal thread to a lot of what I have read recently through different blogs…I guess that is just me. This could be a song! All the best 🙂
