Beautiful Things

Taking a moment to say I see so many beautiful things in the world around me.  I will not apologize for seeking wonder in the face of ugliness, asking questions when others are shouting absolutes in my face, and knowing without a shadow of a doubt that the Creator loves each and every one of us for the beautiful things that we are.

Please enjoy this wonderful piece of music by Gungor.

I have added a few of the beautiful things in my little world of hope.

  1. Gungor are one of my favourite bands. I listen to them almost daily, as I find their music and lyrics so uplifting and moving. I was laid up in bed ill last week and, as the sun was shining outside, promising summer, I listened to a blackbird singing its heart out and watched the sky changing as the breeze swept it with clouds. And even though physically I was very low, the beauty of those simple things lifted me. And I wouldn’t have taken the time to see them had I not been laid low. Thank you for sharing.

    1. I’m so sorry for your being ill last week Julia. I am hoping you are all better this week. You are right about taking those moments to accept the simple gifts our world has to offer. It is very healing. I try to find some small miracle in my day that is outside of my emotional world. I am learning to reach toward nature when I feel depleted, for to me God’s Spirit lives within all of creation. There is comfort to be found in the tiniest places. 🙂 thanks for stopping by.

  2. Ah that hummingbird shot was really cool! And the black swans look awesome, like from another world. You’ve captured some wonderful moments here, multitalented. I will attempt to bear your positive words in mind this week! It is too easy to forget to be grateful.

    1. Thank you Stephen. It is indeed challenging. I write these words to remind myself because all too often I feel pulled toward the dark abyss of disappointment. I hope your week is productive and positive as well.

  3. That’s how I see it too, and you expressed it so well! Your photographs are lovely, and those are the things that help me keep my hope up.

  4. Great post Cheryl. I agree with everything you have written here. The creator loves everybody. I can’t understand anybody who would claim otherwise. Don’t allow anybody to scream absolutes in your face. This is your blog. Lovely photos. 🙂
