Some of my favorite days in Costa Rica while living there were wandering the beaches, from the main beach in Manuel Antonio down to the Playitas and the secluded ancient beach near our home. My heart always finds its home near the crashing waves, and I will always know the power of Creation when I stand where the ocean meets the shore. I thought I would share some of my favorite places with you. At first I considered sharing my favorite days but then I realized every day was my favorite day. I hope you enjoy them.
The trail that leads to a private beach down the road from Hotel Villa Teca, Quepos
First view of the little beach. This last climb was a bit treacherous but worth the long walk.
The prize….
All of us “crabs” were happy to be combing the rocks..
This is our favorite spot at the Playitas of Manuel Antonio
One of the fun things about beach life is meeting up with familiar faces. This is Raphael. We have purchased many gifts from him and his mother.
And the sunsets never stop being amazing..
To the shores of Jaco Beach..
And on to Dominical.
All the way to Playa Ballena.
there were never enough beach days for me.
But then again, I had to squeeze in the mountain trips somewhere right? 😉
Maybe we will see you there!
I love the beach. Growing up in So. Cal. the beach is a way of life. I never went that far, but enjoy them in my way. The soul does release over the waves…even a pool will do on a summer afternoon.

Water. Yes. My mermaid soul really feels reborn in any water…

Yep, water helps with my leg problems and neutralizes my balance problems. Have nerve damage in my legs from a car accident at 17.

Thanks, it was my own dumb fault back then. I’ve paid a small price considering I could have killed myself and/or my friend that was with me!
Now I’m retired and make a fair living. I am still young enough that I miss working though. I was in car sales for years and loved/hated it! But I made some good money at times…

Lessons don’t always come easily. Car sales is a tough gig. My husband did that for a brief stint and it was just so brutal. He is a good salesman but there are so many variables and so competitive. Kudos for doing well.

I am so glad you found the Costa Rica pages. The beaches were so peaceful. I was blessed to live close enough to walk. Maybe you will get to visit one day.
