This view is a standard at Villas El Parque and another great restaurant in Manuel Antonio called Agua Azul. Casual dining, great variety and very accommodating staff make for a fun evening and a great way to catch a sunset in Manuel Antonio. You can check out their menu at

On our last arrival to Costa Rica we missed a turn and ended up on our way to Caldera, landing us in a very pretty bay area park that was inhabited by street vendors selling scrumptious chicharones, chicken on a stick and other little “goodies”. I wanted the chicharones but a breakdown in communication landed me with this Volcanic Vigaron Salad, a lovely little number made of shredded cabbage that is topped with fresh hot Chicharones and mounds of Pico de Gallo that is all nestled atop a giant fig leaf. The bonus fried Yucca on the side sent me almost over the edge. I ate every last freshly decadent bite, folks, and welcomed pork back into my diet. πŸ™‚

    1. I would be happy to if you could elaborate on what you would like to know more about. We lived for 7 months in Costa Rica, as well spending two vacations there. Most of our time was spent in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area but we traveled quite a bit into the mountains as well.

    1. Thank you. I look forward to seeing you again. Although I don’t have a lot of money, I am always hoping to be able to help others in whatever ways the universe allows. πŸ™‚

    1. Hi, so glad you enjoyed the site. It’s been fun putting it together. I’m no expert by far but am learning as I go. I just want everyone to see how lovely this country of Costa Rica is.

  2. I just want to say I am new to blogging and site-building and really liked your blog site. More than likely I’m likely to bookmark your site . You amazingly have tremendous writings. Thank you for revealing your webpage.

  3. I’m tellin’ ya Amy even when you’re positive you just are not able to win. Exact six persons. I enjoyed this content and concur that unless you happen to be retired, it might be tough with modern day stresses to acquire sufficient deck time.

  4. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I am very glad to see such wonderful information being shared freely out there.

    1. You are welcome and good luck with your planning. My husband bought a lot of books, scoured TripAdvisor and many web sites before we made our final plan. And we are still learning. This is one small area in a lovely country. I hope to be able to share all the places we visited. Thanks for checking out the site.
